Introduction
As the capital of the People's Republic of China, Beijing is located in northern China, covers an area of more than 16410 square kilometers (6336 square miles), and has a population of 14.93 million.
For more than 800 years, Beijing was a capital city - from the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368) to the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) dynasties. Thirty-four emperors have lived and ruled the nation in Beijing and it has been an important trading city from its earliest days. With the biggest central square in the world - Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City that is the largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex, a superbly preserved section of the Great Wall, as well as the largest sacrificial complex in the world - the Temple of Heaven, Beijing attracts both domestic and foreign visitors who all come to wonder at its century-old history and unique cultural relics.

This tour will lead you to Beijing’s most famous sightseeing spots. This tour is specially designed for the first time visitors to Beijing to get an overview and to visit Beijing’s must-sees.

 

Day1: Arriving
Our tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel in the city. Based on your arrival time, our guide will plan you a visit in the city.

 

Day2: Tian’anmen Square; Forbidden City; Summer Palace; Hutong tour
Visit the Tian’anmen Square - the largest city square in the world, and visit the Forbidden City which used to be the living place of the emperors of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. Enjoy delicious Chinese lunch at a local restaurant. After having lunch, go on visiting the Summer Palace - the greatest imperial garden in China. Then stroll the Hu Tong tour (also know as Rickshaw tour) to experience the real life of the Beijing local people.

 

Day3: Great Wall (Mutianyu or Badaling); Ming Tomb
Drive to the Great Wall (Mutianyu or Badaling) which is located 50 miles away from the city (2 hours drive), hiking there for one and half hours. Enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Ming Tomb, where 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) were buried. After visiting, Transfer back to the hotel.
We suggested that your can enjoy a Beijing characteristic diner --Beijing roast duck.

 

Day4: Temple of Heaven; Beijing Zoo (Panda House); Olympic Park
Visit the Temple of Heaven where the emperors worshipped for the harvest, then visit the Beijing Zoo (Panda House). Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Olympic Park, visit the outward of national stadium and swimming stadium.

 

Day5: Depart Beijing
Check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport/railway station to catch the flight/train to home.
